From 15 Feb to 2 Nov: every day from 10am to 5pm
From 3 Nov to 21 Dec: Wed, Sat and Sun from 10am to 5pm
From 21 Dec to 31 Dec: every day from 10am to 5pm (except Christmas Day)

The Texel lighthouse was manned for a long time, serving the safety of people at sea. In 2003, the Brandaris lighthouse on Terschelling took over this task.

Via a winding staircase, you climb six stories of the lighthouse. There’s no elevator. For your safety on the staircase we strongly advise you to wear fastened shoes for climbing the lighthouse. So no flip-flops or slides. Unfortunately, pets must stay outside.
